I am a big believer in printed wedding albums. For me it is the best way to record and relive the wedding day. There’s something special about opening up an album, turning through the pages and being reminded of the moments and feelings of the day. Personally, I just don’t think it’s the same as viewing the photographs on a computer or television screen – regardless of how technology changes a wedding album is future proof.
I offer three different types of wedding album, the Art, the Story and the Classic. The Art and Story are storybook type albums, where the photographs are printed directly onto the page before binding the book. The Classic is a traditional style wedding album, where photographic prints are held in place with a matt.
A wedding album is really something that must be seen and felt and held, but I will do my best to describe them here with words and pictures. Honestly, it’s difficult to do them justice so I would love to show them to you. Just contact me and you can browse through the samples over a cup of coffee and see the quality for yourself.
Art Album
The Art Album is a square fine art wedding album. It’s printed on beautiful fine art matte paper, using archival inks and environmentally friendly non-yellowing archival glue ensuring it will last a lifetime. It opens flat with an almost invisible crease so that photographs can be printed beautifully across the pages.
There are two options for the cover. The first is a contemporary leather cover (in a choice of 6 colours) with your names embossed. The second option is a printed cotton photo cover which wraps around the entire album.
There are two sizes to choose from – a regular 10″x10″ or a large 12″x12″. You can also opt to include mini 6″x6″ duplicates of the main album.
Story Album
The Story Album is a landscape wedding album. It’s printed on gorgeous lustre paper and the pages are a little thicker than the Art album if you prefer more rigid pages. As with all albums, it’s of the highest quality to ensure that it always looks as good as the day you get it. It opens flat with an almost invisible crease so that photographs can be printed beautifully across the pages.
There are two options for the cover. The first is a leatherette cover (in a choice of 20 colours) with your names embossed. The second (very popular!) option is an acrylic photo cover – which looks like your photograph is behind glass.
There are two sizes to choose from – a regular 12″x8″ or a large 14″x11″. You can also opt to include mini 7″x5″ duplicates of the main album.
Classic Album
The Classic Album is a landscape traditional wedding album.
Each photograph is printed on lustre archival photographic paper before being mounted in the album behind a card “window”. This process results in an album that is much chunkier so if you prefer a heavier, classic album then this option is probably for you.
The genuine leather cover comes in ten different colour options. You also have the choice of either embossing your names on the front or including a printed fly leaf – a semi transparent first page with your details printed on it.
Unlike the other albums, the Classic doesn’t come in a regular size and the large size is 14″x11″. The reason is that the photographs would be too small by the time the card mount is added. For the same reason, it also doesn’t have an option to include mini duplicates.
