Sneak Peek – Marianne & Anthony

limerick wedding photography

Marianne and Anthony were married in St. John the Baptist church in Pallasgreen and had their reception in the Castletroy Park Hotel in Limerick. They met when Eoin, one of the groomsmen, tried to set up Marianne with a friend of his. Eoin and his friends travelled down to Dingle and when they got there Marianne only had eyes for Anthony – a different friend! It’s easy to see how they got on so well, they are a really great couple and had me laughing all day.

Things I loved about Marianne and Anthony’s wedding:

  • Marianne’s sense of humour. From her ponderings about whether to keep her surname when she was getting her hair done all the way through to her speech – it was very easy to photograph natural smiles!
  • The flower girl Hannah and page flower boy Paudie were absolute stars.
  • I found a lovely lttle spot to take the bridal party photographs and it stopped raining so we got to go there. That made me a very happy photographer!
  • The speeches were really good. I get to hear a lot of speeches and I really enjoy it when they are original and personal.
  • The very last photo below. Make sure you scroll all the way down – I love it!

Sneak Peek – Rhona & Fran

Killaloe Wedding PhotographyRhona and Fran were married in St. Lua’s church in Killaloe and had their reception in the Lakeside Hotel. Their wedding was good fun and even the downpour of rain as the ceremony finished didn’t dampen their spirits. Thankfully it stopped raining when we go to the hotel so we managed to get outside for some photographs with the bridal party.

Children were a big part of the wedding too and they kept me entertained for the day! They were having a great time (which makes for good photographs!) and their energy and excitement was infectious.

Things I loved about Rhona and Fran’s wedding:

  • The faces on the children when they tasted some non alcoholic champagne.
  • The dramatic clouds that hung over Killaloe after the rain fell.
  • The sense of humour of the entire bridal party. They had me laughing at their antics!
  • Having a magician who kept the children entertained at the hotel so the guests could enjoy the drinks reception.
  • Having the reception so close to the church not only kept all the guest together but it meant that people had more time to enjoy themselves too.

Sneak Peek – Mairead & Mark

wedding photography photo (13)

I went to college with Mairead so I knew her wedding with Mark was going to be a lot of fun. I think the story of how people met can tell a lot about a couple and this couple have the most unique story I’ve ever heard – they met at a fancy dress party where Mairead was dressed as a school girl and Mark was dressed as a pimp!

Mairead and Mark were married in Faithlegg Church and held their reception in the Woodlands Hotel.

Things I loved about Mairead and Mark’s wedding:

  • The laughter! From start to finish everyone was really enjoying the day and having fun.
  • The little personal details that Mairead and Mark added to their day, from unique cake toppers to the “gun bag”!
  • The bridal party photography session was insane! We laughed so much and had great craic. Mairead and Mark wanted “something different” and we definitely achieved it!
  • The first dance. Two words – Fatboy Slim! It was great craic and it really set the mood for the night.
  • Choreographed dancing by two little guys (you can see them in the last photo below). When I was preparing the same day slideshow they were practicing their dance moves in the hotel lobby and once the band got started they were stuck in!

Sneak Peek – Jess & Liam

Jess and Liam were married in St. Johns Cathedral in Limerick on one of the hottest days of the year. Afterwards we went to the park in Adare for some photographs before going to the Woodlands Hotel for the reception.

Things I loved about Jess and Liam’s wedding:

  • Jess and Liam (and the rest of the bridal party) were so relaxed for the day. You could tell they were enjoying every moment of it.
  • The contagious giggling while the girls were getting ready – one part nerves, one part champagne I think! 🙂
  • During the first dance all of the children ran in and released balloons around the bride and groom. I’d never seen anything like it. I’m sure the video of it will look magic.
  • The speeches were hillarious and I think everyone wiped away a tear from laughter at some stage!
  • Liam’s mother gave Jess and Liam rosary beads as a present. When asked by Liam’s siblings why they didn’t get the same when they got married she quipped – “I didn’t think you’d need them!”
  • Finally, this list wouldn’t be complete without a mention of Liam’s gravity defying dancefloor moves – seriously impressive!
