As part of my wedding coverage I do a “same day slideshow” on the evening of the wedding, usually after the speeches. This projected slideshow is a little sneak peek at a few of my favourite photographs that tell the story of the day so far. It always goes down a treat with the bride and groom and their guests.
Putting together the slideshow is a challenge, mostly due to the time constraints of a wedding day. I’ve never shared a same day slideshow before, mainly because the photographs are not edited. Within the context of the wedding, I know that guests aren’t expecting to see the final edited images in such a short timeframe. Also, I know that each photograph is displayed for about 5 seconds so even though the perfectionist in me cringes, I know that most people won’t notice that the photograph isn’t processed.
Last Friday I photographed the wedding of Sinead and Barry who were married in Ballyagran and had their reception in the Castle Oaks Hotel. I’ve decided to share their slideshow as an example for future couples. This is their same day slideshow as it was shown after their meal.
