Loving… Indiependence last weekend. It was the best one yet – yes, even better than the time Mickey Joe played in the Square! Because it’s a small festival it has a lovely, local, friendly vibe to it. Everyone is there to enjoy themselves and have fun. When it came to music the highlights for me were Kodaline, Hudson Taylor and Paddy Casey. Another highlight was the new beer hall – a huge shed with a bar, stage, ping pong tables and a great atmosphere. And most importantly – a roof! We got “trapped” in there for a few hours with the rain, not a bad place to be trapped.

Laughing… with some gardai (again at Indiependence). There was a new tent this year that was for arts and so on. We popped in at one stage for a look and there was a burlesque dancing group on stage. As were were leaving I noticed two gardai at the entrance who were working as security. Unlike most security however they were inside the door, watching the show. As we left I had a good laugh with them about what a tough job they had! 🙂
