Noelle & Dave

Noelle and Dave were married in Milford church and held their reception in The Malton in Killarney. I think the bridal party photo session was one of the coldest I’ve ever experienced, with a bitter winter wind sweeping in across the lake. But you’d never know it looking at the photographs – they seem completely oblivious to it.

Things I loved about Noelle and Dave’s wedding:

  • Page boy Iarlaith deserves a special mention – despite constantly running away from the “photo man”.
  • Speaking of which, his photobomb while I was taking a photo of the wedding dress is one of my all time favourites!
  • The flowers in the church – it was almost like being outside.
  • John, the best man, as he struggled to release the wedding rings from the double knot (or maybe triple?!) on the altar. Perseverance won in the end.
  • Noelle’s brother who helped us out on during the photo session. And what an assistant – in gale force winds he was able to hold three umbrellas, four shawls, some props and STILL BE ON FACEBOOK! 😉
  • The groomsmen starting each other like lawnmowers on the dance floor!
  • The swishing and swooshing of the bridesmaid dresses – they were each given plenty uninterrupted space on the dance floor!

Some kind words from Noelle and Dave:

“You were an absolute pleasure to work with and nothing was ever a hassle to you. And don’t get me started on the slide show. It was the talk of the weekend. People are still talking about how amazing it was, we were truly blown away by it. Can honestly say we feel blessed to have had you as our photographer. Thank you so much”

Cathy & Mike

Cathy and Mike were married in Kiskeagh church and held their reception in The Malton in Killarney. It was a lovely day – not just the weather which was shockingly good, but the company and the fun too. It was a real celebration with all the guests enjoying themselves no end – thanks in no small part to the constant grinning of Cathy and Mike!

Things I loved about Cathy and Mike’s wedding:

  • Cathy’s family dog, Duke, who really couldn’t care less who was getting married.
  • Selfie sticks – they almost put me out of a job!
  • Getting married on the anniversary of Cathy’s grandparents in the same church. Which happened to also be Valentine’s Day. How romantic!
  • The gospel choir. Ah-maze-zing.
  • Muckross Abbey. I love going to new locations and this one worked out really well. I’d visited it the week before and loved it AND I got to use all the little spots and angles I’d picked out which is always a bonus.
  • Mike’s tour-de-force speech. It’s hard to describe it – the closest I can think of is it was like being on at a stand up comedy gig on a rollercoaster during a hurricane.

Some kind words from Cathy & Mike:

“We had a brilliant day!! You were a breath of fresh air! I hardly knew you were there. We were blown away – can’t wait to see the pictures!!”

Suzanne & TJ

Suzanne and TJ were married in Scartaglen church, just a stone’s throw from the house they’ve built together. They held their reception in the Malton in Killarney. The day was very wet, but somehow they managed to control the weather so that it always stopped raining exactly when we needed it to – nice!

Their wedding was on the first anniversary of their engagement, which was a nice touch. Suzanne did a great job with the organising – when I met her she had drawn me a map to her house that the Ordnance Survey would be proud of! 😉 Although, in retrospect, I could have done with a map of her actual house – ha ha – thankfully Pat, the videographer, was able to point me back in the right direction! 😉

Things I loved about Suzanne and TJ’s wedding:

  • The amount of selfies and snapchats and all the rest – there was probably no need for me to be there at all! 😉
  • Suzanne and TJs approach to the day – there were no nerves or fussing or worries – one of the most relaxed couples ever.
  • The laughter in Suzanne’s house as everyone was getting ready. I can’t even remember what it was all about, but there was a lot of happiness.
  • TJ absolutely beaming at the church as he waited – not a nerve in sight and loving every minute of it.
  • Suzanne and TJ organising their seats so that they could face both the priest and the congregation.
  • Killarrney. Gotta love it. Lakes, mountains, blue sky – what more could you ask for?
  • Their first dance – these guys have moves! 🙂

Some kind words from Suzanne and TJ:

“Thank you so much for everything yesterday. Everyone commented on what a nice guy you are and how relaxed the whole thing was. You really listened to what I wanted so thank you for that.

Thanks for being part of our day, great to have another Murphy in the clan I’m sure you’ll agree!!!”
