As 2013 draws to close I’m looking back over the year to evaualte how I got on and plan on how I can do even better for 2014. It’s an annual review, but as well as being the employee I’m also the boss!
I’ve been a member of the SWPP (Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers) since I started professional photography. Each month they have a panel of judges who award photographs in various categories. It’s nice to have images “validated” by judges but I don’t take it too seriously. (The main priority for me is that my clients are happy with my work, and that I am also happy with it!)
In terms of awards, 2013 was my best year yet. I got a total of 4 Gold awards and 11 Highly Commended awards. As well as that, I found out this week that I have been nominated as Photographer Of The Year in two categories! Woo hoo!
So, all in all, it was a good year. Let’s see what 2014 brings!
