Loving… getting away from it all. Last weekend my wife and I camped at the base of Carrauntoohil in one of their new pods. It was great. It’s so peaceful and relaxing you can’t help but slow down to the same pace of the surroundings. Being so far from civilization the night sky was full of stars and even the milky way was visible. We went for afternoon tea in the hotel where we had our wedding reception and afterwards explored the Tomies Woods and O’Sullivans Cascades. A trip to Kerry isn’t complete without visiting Murphy’s ice cream in Killarney. They are like the Willie Wonka’s of ice cream, it’s unbelievable. I had the delicious sea salt ice cream.
